Why no new SCOPE cards or new device prices at U.S. dealers?

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

I have not noticed any of the new branding for the SCOPE cards reflected at any of the dealers in the U.S., plus the prices on the devices and plugin packs are still the same as they were before (not reduced to the new levels).

It seems that some people will be reluctant to buy a product named "Pulsar" (even if it is exactly the same as the new boards) if they think it is a discontinued product. They may just wait until the "SCOPE" cards are available - and this can't be good for Creamware.

Nothing explains this very well - if someone buys a new Pulsar board still in stock at a dealer... is it treated the same as a new SCOPE board???? If Creamware wants to sell more boards to existing a new users, I think this should be made very clear on their web site and to dealers (and put on the dealers' web sites with the new branding, etc.)

The pricing of the plugins not being consistent is another issue that could lead to people waiting to buy anything from dealers.

(These are issues not only for Creamware, but also for their dealers since they are potentially missing out on sales.)

AudioMIDI has the new updated prices and products, but I don't think anyone else does -- including JRRShop!

Eric, what's going on? :???:

I spoke to NovaMusik.com regarding this matter too, and was told that they are working on their and it should be done soon. They're just busy. it seems that some dealers take longer to update their website.

If you buy a new card (never been registered before) then it is treated like a SCOPE card.
Keys for that board could be obtained from CreamWare.
A friend of mine just bought a Pulsar II Plus with version 3.01 and register it 2 days ago(manufactured in 2000) contact creamware they checked his registration. then issued the keys to equal it to scope.
So I assume (dealers are fully aware of this at least in North America) that any of their stock are current as long as it was never been registered and it will be treated like new Scopes. the outer box should not stop you from buying the card.

So those of us that buy a new Pulsar II will surely get all the trimming of 4.0.

We can't keep expecting CWA (a very small team now) to keep explainig everythnig. the fact that they said that they simply rename the products, this is in no way means any thing packaged with the SFP BOX is old or discontinued.

I just bought a Scope Project Plus last week from AudioMidi.com. There was some confusion about it all due to the box saying Pulsar II, but in the end it all worked out and I now am the happy owner of the 6-dsp card and was able to get my pick of synth'n'sampler or mix'n'master packs (I went with the synth'n'sampler). For the time being, existing packaging will say Pulsar II until they sell out those boxes, but you will get treated as a Scope Project buyer. You have to call the tech support hotline to get your extra keys however. Took a bit of work to finally figure it out but both AudioMidi.com and the CW tech support guy (US) were very helpful.

I was a bit nervous buying this hardware at this transition period, was concerned that I might get a Pulsar II and not the extra plugins but it worked out as I had hoped. Audiomidi.com is up to speed on the situation at this point and did a respectable job getting me what I wanted. They actually sent me the wrong items, twice, while I tried to get this but recovered nicely with next day shipping on the replacements. I don't hold it against them, this whole CW branding change is confusing to everyone not just customers. I'm glad they have simplified the product line, and now that I'm an owner I sure hope they continue to make cool cards like these.

Hi foks - first post.

I've just bought a Pulsar 2 plus card from JRR Shop (came last week). I checked with Creamware and Eric at JRR before doing so and they both confirmed it would be treated as a Scope 4 purchase so I got the synths and samplers pack for nothing and am entitled to a 50% reduction for 1 plugin too (prolly the B3 clone). And they even threw in a copy of Poison just for registering - sweet.

It was all much cheaper than it would have been if I bought it here in the UK as well.

I think Scope Professional is around 1500$ here in US and it comes with attractive software packs.
