I have a Korg Triton LE and a Roland MKS-80 plus the MPG-80 programmer. I have the midi hooked up correctly but I cannot hear any of the sounds. The "midi message" light flashes on the MKS-80 when the keys are hit but no sound. I need to know what would be the default "basic" setup for the Roland and for the Korg. In other words, why am I not hearing anything? Please send me as many possible solutions as there may be and thank you all very much!

The MKS-80 has an "upper & lower" outputs which go directly into the mixer. I "assume" that the upper and lower refer to left and right speakers jacks. The midi is ran like this: Midi out of keyboard to Midi in of programmer-Midi thru of the programmer to the Midi in of the MKS-80: then the 6 pin connector from module to programmer. This is how the manual shows and how I was told to do it. Is there some other way of preset that should be activated?

Doesn't upper & lower refer to the split-keyboard function rather than left & right ? Just guessing really.

And yeah, what's the CWA connection here Mr One Post ?

If the upper and lower refer to a split keyboard, where do you plug them in? Has anyone ever used this thing? As far as I can tell, there both on MIDI 1. If I kept turning the knob on the programmer, would sound eventually just pop up? Let me know....

I had an mks & programmer for about a year, but once it was in the rack & operational I never touched it again... Didn't like it as much as my old Jupiter 6 even though it was supposedly better.

Get another device and plug it in using the exact same midi & audio cables you're using for the mks80. Does it work ?
