This is an awesome free synth, the holiday 2000 from Zarg. I love the comb filter (with lfo) and the smooth and easy design, a single oscillator switchable saw/square, and a single multimode filter. Quick to navigate virtual analog with comb filter, for a clean, clinical, precise and (once the comb is engaged) almost plucked-string like sound at times. Thanks for this one...

I've just downloaded this devices and WOW! I love it! The sound is fat and you can do alot of tweeking! It the first Zarg device that I try, and not the last one for sure! It is sonicaly pleasing. Like it very much. I just started a new song using it for pad and grungee bass

I've booted this one up maybe a dozen times and just can't get into it. It seems to have everything I like and be very flexible, but I just can't get it to do the business.

To me it somehow sounds weak and thin. And the controls make it feel a little sloppy, like you're never quite in control. It also has a distinctive and rather digital sound that's hard to shake out of a patch.

I feel bad being down on this device - to offer such a synth free is fantastic. But for me it doesn't cut it.

but be careful ... if u save the device with a controller assigned on the pitch knob -the knob become useless... Keep a copy of the original just in case...

Hmm. Sorta know what Spirit means but with a bit of careful tweaking you can get some lovely bass gloops. It does seem to respond a bit randomly but I like that. I wanna post a patch but am at work

I've revisited the Comb again and it is being more co-operative. With gentle handling it can produce some interesting and distinctive sounds. I still have a little trouble trying to tightly control exactly what it's doing (especially the LFO mod), but some great stuff has been falling out.
