 plato

Well, i was also carried away some days ago, and i really thought: "Whau, now the used Pulsar1 im buying will come with 500-1000 Euro of device upgrades" (and then.. "whau whau ! WHAU !!... )

Well i got disappointed.

But after some time (when the card came in my setup), i really got happy again, since i got an incredbly amount of high quality stuff for my 270 Euro. Synth1+2 & STM1624 & Effects1 & 4DSPs.
Will go nicely along with my 6dsps & Minimax & Prodyssey.

IF i will get also the Modular 2 -for free -i will be very happy.

Maybe im not exactly on the subject here. But as new user i will remind the "negative minded people" how much value for the money CW is giving.

So..

Long live Creamware !

and Planetz is one of the finest forums around. That this forum is about CW-audio is maybe not a coincidence.

Greetings to all you old planetz hags

I think is a bad move don't give new free packages for old user...i think about UAD-1 old user that recently gots a brand new free FAIRCHILD COMPRESSOR...if i have to spend 400-500 euros for vinco , optimaster and other mix'n'mastre plug, i think i will buy instead a second hand uad-1 for 500 euros...think about this creamware staff.

the Fairchild is only a demo.....you have to pay quite a lot for the real thing.....same with all the other new plugins for UAD.....this whole debate is a complete waste of time

Thats right plato...

This discussion leads to well usual as most discussions to nothing.

If some CW users are angry with the actual situation and want to give up CW for UAD/Powercore/whatever Card.. Well i don't stop the travellers...
The other users keeping up CW and supporting them will still be a community...

Its sad to hear, that some people feeling bumped just because of the new CW structure. It is a new company with new structures rebuilding from the few things left from the old company... They had to change their Corporate Identity and they had to change their concepts into a new way... So if we don't give them the time they need to rebuild themselves we would prolly drive CW again into the insolvency... and perhaps finally into the bankrupt.

I just want you to be patient until the whole new stuff is up and wait for the things to come. Perhaps there are still some surprises for us regg'd users... We'll see

until then,

me too  I just bought a 2nd hand Pulsar One and since I have another already in my box the latter board would be either free DSPs or Minimax for nothing...

well, it was a thought - but then it's so ridiculuous I really didn't believe it.
I'm not disappointed at all - though I wouldn't refuse a bunch of keys

acutally you cannot expect too much action from any company in Germany around easter - last week was almost no (whatever) business at all.

cheers, Tom

We are in a much better hands with Creamware than with Universal Audio. Don't want to give reasons, as it might sound like I'd be whining at UAD then, lol

You older customers already know, what is the policy of creamware. We newer customers are not yet aware of that. I believe, you can't disagree, there is/has been misleading info on creamware site. Let's just everyone be more patient, I wish. Personally, this is my first update from CWA. If bugs will get addressed, I'm happy. I'm still feeling a great gratitude of 'christmas deals'. I just need more sharcs to run all that great stuff

I totally agree.....it's absolutely wonderful, but this whole thread is reminiscent of a bunch of schoolgirls gossiping about whether they're gonna get a kiss from the school hunk

One of the biggest problems with Creamware is the lack of communication. I still remember the days when Creamware went bankrupt and when they came back on stage with CWAudio. Some of CWA employees came here and posted some explanations. But only one week later they didn't post a single word again.

And when they post something at all it is just promises...promises...promises which they cannot keep anyway. I bet that no one in this community would mind if a CWA employee would come here to tell us that they won't manage to upload the new site and SFP 4 within the next 14 days. But on http://www.creamware.de they already promise again(!) that SFP 4 will be up "on eastern" *in bold letters*. Therefore it is absolutely understandable that people get impatient... and maybe angry.

Perhaps Scope 4.0 is another easter egg

quoting CWA site:
Welcome to CreamWare Audio's new home page!

Just in time with the Musikmesse in Frankfurt we want to inform you about the latest news and developments around CreamWare Audio and the SCOPE platform. We apologize if this web site is not yet as complete as it is planned for the near future.

Version 4.0 download and registration is still under construction and must be delayed by a few days. We're sorry. Happy Holidays anyway!

call it what you like, but:
it took the multi-billion corp Apple Computers 4 years to bring OSX to a usable state - and that stuff is based on trad unix technology fairly known for decades...

I prefer CWA to work instead of spreading blahs.

A software company of that size cannot predict everything, maybe they can't even predict anything as things develope,
But SFP HAS a very high degree of usability, so what ???

Easter isn't over yet, people are expecting 4 figure 'donations' for free or cannot wait a couple of weeks...

not amuzed, Tom

i have e-mailed Universal Audio at 3 occasions.
each time they replied within 36 hours, which is more than reasonable considering 9 hrs time difference.

i don't know if we're in better hands with creamware or not but i feel pretty darn comfortable in uaudio's "hands".

We are speaking about different things, I didn't mean tech support. I must give a credit to Uaudio about giving their plugins away at fairly low price. But there is something else in their marketing policy I don't like. Anyway, it's personal, so I'm sorry being so careless with my statement.

Hey, don't complain about being delayed for only a few days (Thursday is now only a day away!). If it had been the old CreamWare, it would be a few months. They got the Web site up when they said they would; I was pleasantly surprised. They even got up all the user profiles and interviews. They would have decided on the demo competitions if they hadn't gotten swamped with MusikMesse and hundreds of demos. I'm excited about the new Web site and the new product line, and I think it's great that the OSX/Linux port has become open-source, because then it can be done without sucking up tons of money from poor CWA. As long as they switch to 3.3v cards for the G5, they'll be in Mac Heaven!!
