It is hard to believe tha it has been a year since I stepped on a plane from Ohio, USA to journey towards the world of Panama, which I now call home. I want to tell you that all is well here. I have many new friends and a rural Panamanian family has 'adopted' me. I am proficient in the spanish language. I work in sustainable agriculture development, youth development, and teach english. And I am happy!
Here I let some old friends listen in on some of my new tricks. Of course, I don't have my pulsar computer here in Panama - a friend is borrowing it for 2 years - but I did load up my laptop with pulsar samples, several of which made it into this track.
I have a new release coming out in February on the kikapu.com net.label titled 'the subtexts ep.' It is a bit further out than my earlier stuff - more ambient, and perhaps darker. The rest of the EP is along the same lines. It will be 5 tracks - 35 minutes
Here is a sneak peak for the Z heads. I hope that you like it! Comments, crits. and sugs. accepted and perhaps appreciated.
Hope all is well with you and yours in the new year and beyond.
PAZ,
joel macclellan

he Algorhythm, nice to have you back for a while!
Great track, it must be the sound of the evenings there.
Just two remarks: I would like to see a not so loud tiny 808 like drumloop, with some small edits now and than.
Second, I would lower the time rate of the lfo that lets the crispering sound move in the stereo image, if it does it that way.
Take care

Superb.
Today (Wed) evening is my favourite radio broadcast from a students local radio station here in my town, two hours deepest ambient and electronic music, mixed live together.
This track could be an extract of that.
Really moody and involving as inspiring to me. Finest ambient music.
Thank you, now the day can come.
Good luck with your new record!

Hey Algo!!! How are you man!
It’s nice to have you here… we missed you in the Z.
This is by far, the best track you have ever posted, to my ears. I love this! It really feels like being abroad, in a peaceful countryside. The atmosphere is very warm, engaging, I can smell the forest there… hummmm
I’m very glad to hear you are doing well, and that you are happy. It is not difficult to be happy among such a simple and nice people.
Hope to hear MUCH MORE like this…
Let me wish you a very creative year 2004, and keep in touch with us please.
Nestor.

¿OK?

thanks everybody for your positive comments. for your information - no drug use involved, nor celmo blue. I´ll let you all know when the album is out. It should be relatively soon, as I only have to upload the art and let the publisher put it out on the kikapu.com site.
PAZ / PEACE
