Hi everyone,
I've been enjoying my 2 Pulsar cards for about 6 months now...love em to death.
Anyway, I would really like to check out
some of the freeware and demo plugins out there. My question is, where do I put these things. Do I have how somehow "install" them.
It seems just dropping them into the XTC folder doesn't do anything. I am running Cubase VST32 and Nuendo.

Thanks
Carmine

Hi,

Most of the freeware devices don't have XTC versions, unless mentioned in their info. 3rd party effects without XTC version can be loaded in a Multi-Fx in a VST mixer, in XTC. Synths need a corresponding .dll file in the VstPlugins/XTC/ folder, there's no dsp inserts for them in VST.

Common practice is to put .dev files subfolders in the /SFP/Devices/.../ folders. These folders are ones you see on top of SFP's Routing Window. The /Effects/Mono/ and /Stereo/ folders are the ones that pop up on right-click in an Fx insert slot. Or you can drag-and-drop the plugin from a Windows Explorer...

Additionally, preset files usually go in /SFP/Presets/, and occasional .dsp files to /SFP/App/Dsp/.
