Well, it is strange, there is an new icon that, eventually, and without reason, gets into my task bar, without any posibility for me to switch it off, or getting information of were does it come from... I have never seen it before. It is called "Java Console", and I would like to know what is going on. Is it a worm using some features of the Java program that comes with Netscape, that is doing it? Do you know about something similar?
I have done a search in my computer, pass the programs related to security but it seems there's nothing wrong. What could it be so? Cheers.
¿What is is the JAVA CONSOLE?
hi Nestor,
it can be turned on/off in the internet options control panel under 'extended' settings.
maybe you installed some developement software which activated this switch (?)
it's certainly no intrusion as you were immediately aware of it
I never used JAVA myself, but console usually means the running (java)program outputs status information to that window and you can direct commands to it.
cheers, Tom
