Cooking a hamburger patty is the same as assembling a car - that's the best part of it

That peace prize stuff is a bunch of crap. Are they actually, seriously, thinking of awarding it to Adolf Hitler??? Well, I suppose, he didn't kill as many people as Stalin or Mao, maybe that justifies it.

About the WMD -- my opinion is that Saddam destroyed the stuff before the U.S. got in. After all, he got a lot of them from the Soviet Union, who taught him how to destroy them quickly and easily in case of emergency. A former Romanian official talked all about that, and you can read it here: http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Re ... p?ID=12387

It's a crazy world.

Thanks for the link Shayne, that's some good reading. Saddam had years to do as he pleased while he dicked around the UN.

The Nobel article has got to be a joke. Hitler???

Review your history (check out the 80ies). Its the USA that pumped mass weapons in Iraq to conquer Iran, it's the USA (CIA) that stuffed Afghanistan full of weapons and trained Taliban, as a foot on the ground against the USSR at the time.

I don't mean to point a finger at the USA, I ment to correct the fact that it wasn't the USSR that 'helped' Iraq.
I have to make a mea culpa since also Belgium finds ways to sell its weapons to countries who don't have any respect for human rights, mostly in Africa. It's on the back of 3rd world that we create the airbulb of luxury and welfare. We all know it, but no one wants to give up its welfare so the masacre goes on and on.

The UK too (big time) - arms to the Middle East, riot vans and bull whips to S.A. during the Apartheid regime...

Very true, but I think we were specifically talking about WMDs.

Agh! The world certainly is a mess. Always has been, always will.
