Hi there,
I have a problem with the STS samplers in Pulsar Software 3.1c. When i try to drag a wav file into the sampler, the whole software crashes with a fault in cwwindows.dll. Any ideas what's up? Also i cannot seem to reinstall the software. None of the versions of setup.exe do anything!

If you have important projects, save them all to a secure place, perhaps a CD. Then I would actually recomend to uninstall completely your SFP, because what you say is unusual and it seems a mess to me. Unninstall your SFP as I said, then remove it from the Hardware list, so removing Pulsar driver.

Restart your computer, if you have a registry cleaner, clean it first. I can recomend you the jb16 PowerTools, this is SERIOUS software you can trust:

Then go again, but start by installing the ASPI from Adaptec. This is what Creamware tells you:

Important note: Under Windows 2000 / XP, make sure to have the latest (v4.70) Adaptec ASPI layer installed which is available at Adaptec's website. Otherwise the software can possibly not be installed.

Link to get the driver in Adaptec:

http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/suppor ... _471a2.exe

Then install your Pulsar DRIVER, then install your SFP again.

Good luck

are you using antivirus? if so,disable it when doing music.

in fact,it's best to start with a clean install and using only music-related programs. between sfp and your sequencer there's some pretty heavy activity. was this a fresh install?

sorry to be insulting if you are computer-saavy,i really can only guess because i know so little about your setup.

i'd probably say ditto to nestor's post if all drivers were installed properly in the right order and there are no programs that are running concurrently that might cause a conflict(like antivirus).

i like a shareware registry cleaner called easycleaner.

Hi there,
Thanks for you replies. I will try and save my work to a different folder and uninstall/reinstall the software. I was hoping to avoid this though, becuase as i have downloaded quite a few instruments, i would have liked to save my synths folder and reuse it with the new installation, except some instruments ask you to place certain files in dsp or bin, and i can't remember which files i would need to preserve to keep the instruments working.

Oh well, i will have to uninstall it seems.
