How to use the external effect module in XTC

I sanyone using external (outboard) effects in XTC mode? When I load the external effects module I can not select any ins or outs. It just says Pad: Plugin Loader. I'm using Nuendo2

have you modified your xtcproject(or was it xtcpro?) so that you have a path for your external effects yet?

yes I have modified the xtcproject.pro. I can use outboard in the chain, but I thougt you were supposed to be able to insert external effect module as an insert in the audio app., because otherwise it is hard to swich between dry and wet signals! There is something called external effects S and M but they don't seem to work??

just route a buss out the adat outs and back in a channel like a real mixer,much easier.....(you should be able to route an insert as well by routing the channel out an adat out..)

Yes maby I'm overcomplicating this. I'm going to try a new approach with the Nuendo busses...
