well done Ken, and I'm glad to see you're on the train again :smile:
Wasn't the use of orchestral sounds (strings at least) quite normal in disco music? I would consider this as very close to disco rather than to house music :smile:

Very groovy this. i really like the funky bass you've played in this sample :smile:

i would put a small reverb on the strings sound. their to clean now for this style of music.

thnx for the tip about the reverb. I did another version with more reverb, and I like it much better.

The strings work really well, and I agree - it's more disco to my ears too.

Funny equalization, perhaps the conversion?, it sounds in the middle only range.

I didn't find those strings particularly switting for this kind of music. There I would prefer something more classical sounding, just a matter of taste.
