I put a picture in Soundwarp and got this file that sounds like wind on the prairie, thus the title.

I took this wav file full of white and pink noise and ran it through Akoff and got the notes.

After a bit of quantising and bar manipulation this is the result.

Any thoughts?

As a reference point, listen to Arnold Schöenberg's Klavierstücke.

I submitted the piece to a couple of old university friends. I'll let you know what they think (I can't wait to hear their educated B.S.)

I have to admit, it's interesting. I'm curious about the tools, having heard the piece. But I'm mostly curious what the picture was?

If I remember correctly it was one of the backgrounds that is provided in Sibelius. Purple, I think...

Hmmm A strange little piece. Maybe you should have included an image of Patti Labelle at around the 2.50 mark for a more organic progression.

Experiments are always worth it.

"This is a very well comosed piece, Such nice expressions and harmonies!"

Then I told him how it was written and he almost barfed

Being able to convert an image to sound is a wonderful thing. Being able to convert my music to money - now, that would be something else!

I like it… but for piano only it is a bit tiresome by the end. This tune arranged for several instruments would be very interesting.

BTW: Why should you trust the intellectuals and not listeners? I have never trusted intellectuals, too many theories in your mind are not synonymous of understand music. A perfect ignorant in terms of music, could easily feel it with much more objectivity, due to the fact (precisely) that he has “no preconceived opinions” about what he is listening at.
