I´m using pulsar 1 + 2 srb Asus p2b Bios rev 114, TnT1 Graphics card, SBlive, U2W SCSII LVD (adaptec) 384 MB Ram...This appears only sometimes during the startup, that means when loading the default winstartpro. Has anyone advice?

when starting up pulsar? then it reads all the modules from hard disk into ram, so the pci bus is occupied by the scsi-controller. try to lower the transfer rate of this device, maybe from 80 to 20 mb/s. that´s still fast enough to play back douzens of tracks.

gruß,
Mo

i also own a p2b, i´ll take a look if there is a setting in the old award bios for pci bus arbitration. i don´t think so, but i´ll have a look (although my pulsar is built onto another board).

good luck,
Mo

Usually you don't need to change anything like that on a BX board. I've never seen a setting like this in a BIOS before, usually you have to bust out a program like TweakBIOS to get access to arbitration schemes.

Air_PoLLo,

None of these problems happen on an Infinite Vortex machine either  Or really, any high quality newer PC motherboard with a good chipset.
