Hello Pulsarians
I would really like to know if there's a way to split controllernumbers so that multiple parameters could be modified by only one controller.
Reason for this is a liveset i'm working on. The tracks like drums should be sent separately to the frontmixer, to get a good sound off course, but it's also neccesary to control the drums as one track. I want to be able to fade in and out all drumfaders as one, and also filter these separate tracks as one.
Seems to me it's pretty easy to build such an application that can work this out.
If there's not a sollution for this already, wich I doubt, I'm willing to pay for a module like this if anyone could develop it for me.
Regards,
Manoah
Multiple parameters controlled by 1 controllernumber
Hi,
Check if your remote controller doesn't have any masterfader option, like the Pc1600(x) has. Any fader on that unit can be set to 'master' any number of other faders, it then transmits the assigned ones in a re-scaled way.
On the STM2448 you can group channel volume faders, locking them in the same relative position, but that's not what you're after I think.
You could make such a device in modular, here's a couple of MIDI patches to set you on track for a live gig
Dezipped (smoothened) midi control,
control 8 faders with one CC#,
moving to next sequence recalls mixer settings,
simple lfo to cc#,
a MIDI extractor,
this one and
this one make them think you took some keyboard lessons after all
The 1-to-8 patch comes closest, but I understand you want to automate the drums indepently also. You'll have to VCA or ringmodulate all faders (receiving CC# from your MIDI controller) you want to master with one which acts as masterfader. Then send these values out as different CC# to dsp mixer using ValMonitor or j9k's 'tk x5' midi module. I hope you don't have loads of channels
This patch might look a long way round, but an SFP device does not send CC# which is sensed on it's input, only when it is generated by the device.
Have fun

yes, great At0mic, you always comes up with a nice bundle of links.
It would be nice -it's not a new idea- to have a special place on planetz called faqs where every possible question is catched in one thread, just with appropriate links from everywhere on planetz.
Specially for our newbies.
We could invite them everytime someone asks a well discussed subject to post all the links together in a thread with the specific subject as uh subject, after a search on planetz is done.
It will grow in time automaticly and fast, the more questions, the more fast it will grow.
And no organisation and item writers from the oldies needed
