I'm sorry but I don't understand how can control PEQ4 in the remote control menu of Cubase SX... It works maybe for the synths, but when I load PEQ4, remote see nothing at all of PEQ4. I fell me like a stupid, but don't understand how control with my Doepfer Pocket Dial the PEQ4 inside Cubase SX in XTC mode!!! Any Ideas?
Thank you!

[edit] Disregard all this nonsense and read my 3rd reply.
Have you tried controlling it in SFP? The same goes about for automating it. The PEQ4 has a peculiar way of automation! There's only knobs (for Gain,Freq,Q) on one band. How do we deal with 4 bands PEQ4 can contain?

There's 2 ways IMO:

1) to change all params simultaneously: send a preset change.

2) to sweep one band at a time: create 4 bands (or less, as required in the project). Select a band from the toggle buttons and automate it's parameters, to proceed with another band first select that band (read: toggle the respective bands' button by automation), then tweak it's knobs -just like in SFP without using the graph representation.

Now you can tweak all parameters without touching the graphs... I know it's a bit messy at first sight, but it does the job

Thank you Atomic, but I'm sorry but really don't understand (I fell me like a Stupid !!!)..."then tweak it's knobs -just like in SFP without using the graph representation..." How? In Remote controller in Cubase SX? Nothing appears from these menu, and when I right click on PEQ4's knob nothing too... I can control PEQ4 from the track of the automation (where you can set volume and pan and so on)... and Doepfer works with every parameters execpt PEQ4...
Sorry again... At the moment will I still use mouse...
Best regards

Thank you Atomic, but I still don't understand: "Select a band from the toggle buttons and automate it's parameters..." from what kind of menu do you mean? I found nothing that record my Doepfer Knob movement...
I'm feel like stupid, and sorry I'm boring you !

Hoi SAnd,

I was totally wrong about the toggle buttons. After reinstallation of SFP and XTC, I noticed all parameters appear instantly in my VST host. I suppose you're familiar with how SX uses .xml files to make templates for remote control - marcus posted you a link on that.

I think I just discovered a bug in PEQ4's graphical user interface which is not updated in XTC when the parameters are tweaked. The EQ setttings do change, the effect applies to the sound when sweeps are recorded.

Thank you Atomic, I tried but don't work...
I back to SFP config, because I control better all devices. Every Asio is connected to 2448 Mixer and use it's Eq, but it a shame that this Eq can't assign to midi, and load PEQ4 for every channel need too memory!
I would like to have the feel of real mixer with knob, but for Eq not only volume. Eq is the most important thing of a mixer heart, in my opinion!!! I can work with mouse waiting for the new release of SPF!!! (I hope it will possible to control eq parameter)
Cheerio!
