DirectX plug-ins sound all distorted in Cubase SX

The title says it all...

I can use "some" plug-ins like iZotope Vinyl, but most of the DXi effects are just distorted.

I am using ASIO2 24Bit modules, the 2448 mixer, and that's about it on the SFP side of things.

VST effects run fine.

Any idea?

steinberg hates dx? :grin: no really,that sounds like it may be a cubase problem...
