if you mirrow your todays uploads to the modern dance scene (as you suggest), you really must turn around the volume level ratio between the beat at the one hand and the rest on the other (at least to me).
Automaticly you gonne get very critical to the drums, qua sound and qua arrangement, so you start editing it to emphasize the arrangement, with nice (technologic or...) surprices build in etc.
If you choose for the way you have it now, you'll sound a bit like hard progressive guitar rock with not so clear drums in it, like you could here in progressive 'dark' bars times ago.
It can be a pertinent choise, it also can be you like the result after a try.

ya, definitely agree about the drums. Everything else is really nice. It's like melodic dance music. It just needs work on the "dance" part. You can pick up some trance/dance tracks to listen to, or if working by reference is a drag, then just try to make all the percussion a bit more punchier. BOOMING drums!

I like that effect at the end.. not sure what it is, but it's going down the scale. Is that a voice sample going down the scale?

I’m surprised here, cos you want even louder drums! For me they are already quite loud, well, but I know you ARE actually right, cos you are much more into it than myself. I will take it into account for next releases. I will not change it now, cos this CD has been don’t long time ago, and I don’t have even the MIDI part anymore. It’s gone.

No, the end it’s not a voice going down the scale, but a percussion hit, don’t remember well which instrument, perhaps a tom, that I passed through some weird VST plug-in in Wavelab, nothing special at all really, it is chopped as you can see as well.
