I used mainly VSTi's and samples (STS4000) on this one - just using the Pulsar mixer to get a better mix than what Cubase does.
Anyway, some feedback would be nice, particularly if you think it fits some kind of dance genre. I'm trying to mix it up a bit and create something a bit different... so if it actually slots into something that already exists - then it's time to rethink

Hmm - does it fit into a dance genre?
Not sure Brett, but unfortunately I couldn't help imagining a cowboy hootenanny band playing at times. It sort of begged for the violinist/fiddle player to make an entry.
The bass synth is a lovely warm sound and certainly it is fast and rhythmical enough for dance - in most of the track.
I sensed that Australian feel to it again too, as if the old digeridoo was trying to exert its influence in a subliminal way.
I think that overall it seems to sit between a few different stools.
It IS different, and that is what you are trying to achieve, but from a personal point of view, it was my least favourite of your uploads. I never settled into it.
Too honest?
Thanks for your honesty and interesting insights.
You're right tho, it's a bit of frivolous crap to keep my mind open and cogs spinning. The speed of the track does give a comical feel.
Perhaps it does need some visuals - some cartoon Martian cowboys capturing Elvis and then deciding it was a mistake
Hmm, interesting.
For me it is a mixture of old arcarde game music from a 2D shooter game, techno and trance?!?
I think I can make a long story short, this is strange.
The moment when you slow down the beat and Elvis say something is well made. I can´t get into the track too. Maybe it is simply your style. But I can understand that you have to make some music from time to time to free your mind, I do the same.

Thanks Chris, yes it's important to find out where you shouldn't go and I'm grateful that people are honest on here. The experiment continues....

It is definitely positive in its mood. Quite a happy feeling going there… I don’t feel it to be comical, just happy. For me, it sounds very dancing, sort of trance with some accelerated details of disco.
I find it very repetitive; perhaps this is what you want. But I would like for it to go somewhere. When it starts, I feel this happy feeling, but then I get a bit bored.

nice feeling the rythms reminds me Detroit underground resistance energic beats.
And synths are more goa trance all that make a good track.Ready for the party ?
