more bad noises from me.

when using either audio or instruments in cubase 5, i get a loud ripping/clicking sound occurring as soon as i switch to the pulsar window and move the mouse.
these problems do not occur with previous cubase versions.

this also happens with the volksampler - as soon as i move the pointer onto its surface and it changes to the creamware shape, the same noise occurs when i move the mouse. the noise stops as soon as the pointer changes back to the windows shape.

it's like the effort of redrawing the screen to accomodate the creamware-style mouse pointer causes the asio output from cubase to freak out.

is this a driver problem? it sounds like it to me. help!!!

i don't remember the details, but there have been several threads relating to this in the cw forum.i do remember the quick fix was to get rid of the cw cursor(and use the os cursor).however, i do remember that there was a set-up issue involved.the answer is in planetz and cw forums several times over,i wish i could remember the details....sorry.

thanks. i fixed it - uninstalled pulsar and valksampler, then re-installed, seemed to do the trick.

Although I love the way the Pulsar cursors look, sometimes the skins "slip" off and where I click is like to the left of the cursor. Anyone else ever see this? It happens to me under 2.04a, with a Matrox G450 32meg AGP video card. Perhaps it's a driver problem? I never saw it before with the Creative TNT 16meg AGP I had before...
