I did a quick search on the Z and found nothing, so I ask you, has anyone else had problems DLing demos? I'm trying to sell my K2500 and am porting sounds over that I use in tracks to SFP devices. I tried to install B2003... no dice. errors out saying:

"The Download package for your product demo could not be generated: Request String is not up to date or was entered not the first time! (Error 007)"

So then I tried the Prodessey. Same thing. ProOne? Same. ....and so on. Is my install messed up or is CW's server having problems? Anyone?

just in case:
Sam, did you generate a 'request string' by the DemoRequest module in SFP and paste that string into the box on the server ?
Or is the error message the answer to exactly that procedure ?
The demos can in fact be downloaded only once, no second try - and only one demo at a time.
Download the second only after the previous timed out. If you download a bunch in advance most of them time out even before you install them.

The timeout can be significantly delayed if you don't reload DSPs during the demo.
For example if you don't load additional devices or reload another project

then there's indeed a pattern. My last demo was the Prodycey, where the downloaded .oxe refused to get installed the way it usually does. I was only able to start it as a commandline parameter of PluginsInstaller.exe in the sfp/app/bin directory
I thought this was due to something in my Win98 installation (I currently use the messy version, not the clean one).

strange, Tom

I just spoke to Corey at CW and he said the servers were having problems as of last night and should be fixed by the end of tomorrow.
