Musically wonderful and great playing too.
I hope you don't mind comparison - but this just screams David Bowie - in fact, I can hear him crooning all over this track.
Also, seems to me anyway, this track just cries out for a full on rock out middle eight. Just something really simple but with far nastier guitar sounds.
Loved it.
Cheers

HI maket, somehow I´ve got the feeling that I´ve heard this track before. David Bowie can be a reason, I don´t know.
Anyway I like this rock track but it´s to short
, it reminds me to my practices with Punk and Rock Bands in smoke filled practice rooms:
http://www.planetz.com/Pulsar/files/mus ... rack02.mp3 .
Bye the way when you expect reviews on your tracks why you don´t give some reviews back to the other artist here on Z ?
Just a hint.

Well Chris, probably you catched me at special mood?(hmmm, but i feel good),but i want say something :
"somehow I´ve got the feeling that I´ve heard this track before"-you wrote.
Well, say me name and composer of this, what you mean.it reminds me to my practices with Punk and Rock Bands in smoke filled practice rooms:

Sorry Chris, but it's sooo different to me,your tune and mine...I don't know how to say,but yours example ,yes it is practice in "smoke filled "room
and there nothing special,no idea,no melody,no touch....huh,sorry but don't you hear the difference?
I even think, that my melody in this tune even better than at Bowie's songs, even more deep and simple.
and this tune is not rock. This is "rock-science-fiction" and there a huge difference.
"Sci-fi-rock" oblaged to have a story, some impression about scene of story:were it is?when ?who is at this place?what this moment about?....e.t.c.
So it cannot be improvisation at practice room. It's complite print of choiced moment of feeling.
And for me to find simple and powerfull melody- leitmotif it's a BIG fortune, becouse they have no rules to create.when you expect reviews on your tracks why you don´t give some reviews back to the other artist here on Z ?

Answering: i did wrote reviews to the other artists ,maybe not so often but that depend of music ,to be honest not too many tunes i like from that i heared, but i know i have special vision on music wich i prefer to listen too.

Well, the Brise track was not mentioned to be a comparison to your sci-fi rock track.
I just felt remebered to my rock times.
Your track reminds me on some other tracks but maybe I´m a little like you, I don´t hear other music when I write my own one and I do music nearly every day.
When I hear music I simply hear it and I don´t memorize the artist or title of the track, I only memorize the music

So I can´t tell you why your track sounds familiar to me maybe it has something of many tracks.
Regarding sharing reviews, it is simply fair to share reviews with each other, we are a community here and when I remember on my first upload here, I was so upset to get a review, so I do now, if I like the music or not.
Anyway enough of this, it is your topic and your track wich I really like. I´m sorry when I´ve set up some provocations.
I apologise in advance to everyone for this post, but I simply cannot let the comments go without responding.
Maket, I find it sad that you don't reply to anyone else's music uploads because you don't like the style/genre/music/mix or whatever.
I firmly believe that 99.9% of the members of this site do not upload their music with the attitude of "Hey, I'm the man - listen to what I've done".
They upload it to share and to learn.
There are many styles and tracks on this site that are not my choice of music, but so what?
I remember responding to GaryB once that his music style is my least favourite, but what he does is superb and the quality up there with the best commercial releases of that style. Now GaryB (and most others on this site) have forgotten more than I'll ever know, so perhaps I couldn't help him there, except with a bit of encouragement.
Ask Canzerboy if he likes his Broken Ankle Fixed any better, due to the help of others.
Chris Werner hates trance, but his simple comment to my "unstable" of changing from 120BPM to 136BPM has made ME much happier with the track. Want any more examples? There are lots.
You have skills to share with the others in this COMMUNITY that can help hobbyists to enjoy their hobby more. You have a pair of ears that no one else has. Don't you want to contribute?
Perhaps there is someone on this site who wants to make money from their music. One simple response of "I don't like the track but if you boosted the bass a bit....." might just be the secret to that person crossing the line to potential success (either with that track or their next one).
John Cooper has provided a place here where like minded people can SHARE, not show off.
I have no expectations of MY music and absolutely no expectations of my production skills. I have a pastime that I enjoy and there are many people on this site, from all around the world, who have helped me to enjoy that hobby much much more, and to produce better output.
I can only think of one other person on this site who never responded to anyone else's music, and they recently advertised their gear and went back to the site where they get 40 million downloads a year! Not missed by me at all. They obviously didn't get the backslapping they hoped for.
You have a lot of talent. You have a lot of knowledge. Perhaps some of us could benefit from it.
Sorry, John Cooper, it's a bit out of character for me I know, but I felt it needed saying.
And in response to this track you've uploaded Maket - I've not had time to download it yet. Like many others, weekends are a time to spend with family, to destress after a week at work (not my problem
), and as Kensuguro said in response to someone about 18 months ago - "Weekends can be slow around here..."
I'll download it next week - perhaps I'll reply to it.

LOL! if one would need some kind of licence to be worthy to listen to and/or reply to your music, why don't you state the terms here?On 2003-11-23 10:23, maket wrote:

I don't like rock of whatever style, but I spend some comments to some of your ideas.
The only thing you can do with this ambitious attitude is to proof us you're right, by getting 'commercial' succes.
Maybe you'll discover that you are terrible good but you're born too late, 'they' did it already years ago...
Coz that is also rock'n roll: to be at the right place at the right time.
Your question: uhh, I can live without, but if you like then upload

I've been listening your tune three times now and I like it more each time. I would have the bass a bit lower and louder in the mix. Not the biggest deal for sc-fi-rock maybe I don't know anything about the genre. I'm a battle DJ
Cool tune anyway

No need to ask
might have to give some royals if this continues......
I'll scratch your back if U skratch mine!

psychedelic furs maybe? definitely 80s sound to me
so, where's the voice? the song is begging for it...
well, although it is true that this site should be used primarily for helping each other, not everyone is keen to do "A&R" or "producer" work, and if someone doesn't review because he doesn't like the song well, it's legitimate. I like this attitude better than just giving reviews for the sake of being reviewed
I could listen to planetz music section without reading the reviews and still be interested and learn from it.
Especially listening to glitches in songs i find very useful. we get an opportunity to listen to unfinished songs
Of course giving advices can help and it's good to get feedback but the process of music making is a battle against our own selfish mind... a puzzle that we have to solve in an individual way like in a math class; try to find the solution without looking at the back of the book for answers the most you can. It might be a longer quest but you'll be better doing it.
peace
