XTC-mode can't see all my synths....

Yesterday I decided to try to install XTC in order to try it otu at NEstor's contest. Actually it worked fine, but SX couldn't see all my synths - It couldn't see MiniMax. And no matter what I did I could make SX see it. So today I decided to reinstall SFP to see if that solved the problem. It did, well sort of. Now SX see's my MiniMax, but it doesn't see the EDS16i-v2? Both the dll-file and the device is present in the same directories as all the other sunths!?

Does anyone have any good ideas?

And one last thing, doesn't the STS-5000 work as a XTC-plugin? If it does, I can't see that one either....

Well, I hope one of you can help me with this small problem.

None of the sts are xtc compatible, same goes for modular...

Ok - thanks for clearing that up - Then there's just the mystery about the EDS16i-V2 to solve......

I think I've a simular problem. Also tried the XTC-mode but only optimaster, vinco and psq are avialable in logic, no other XTC-fx, the synth are ok. Reinstalling sfp doesn't help neither reinstalling logic (5.5.1).
Al the plugins seems to be installed correctly in the logic vstplugins folder.
I'm on xp now but i used to have all the xtc fx under windows ME
Do I miss something?

Hmm, I just found the missing synth, well synths, cause not only the EDS16 has been catagorized wrong but also the SB404 and my beloved Vectron. SX sees and catagorizes these three synths as FX-plugins.
Does anyone have an idea as to how I can change this?

maybe you can change some extensions somewhere in the Scope .ini text file.
In my humble opinion this file is kinda BIOS on pc.
But I can't help you in this, I always stay away from intelligent computer tricks

But I'm sure someone on planetz can tell more about it.
Maybe Garib or Atomic?

make a subfolder.(works with logic)
also,everything (except sts and modular)should be available in logic.

I tried to make a subfolder, and it did something, but just not the right thing. Cubase could now see the synths, and did put them all in the same group, but it couldn't identify them properly, so now they were all useless.
Then I tried to copy them all to the main VST-folder in SX, same problem (but a little different).

There has to be a file that one can edit to make this problem go away, I just can't find it.

Since I reinstalled sfp to work with XTC i had problems not seening all the XTC fx.
Today Logic took a long time to startup and all the fx are fine now. Thats weird because I didn't change anything at all.
It's OK now but in a few day I'll upgrade to an ausus p4p800 deluxe. I'm afraid that when I upgrade my system that the sfp fx are gone again like the last time.
Under Windows ME I never had this problem but now On XP I did. Reinstalling Logic didn't work nor reinstalling SFP. Even formating the C-disk and installing everything again didn't work.

Today it just happend automaticly. Ok for now but I think it will happen again when upgrading so I'm very curious if there is a way to force Logic to read all the XTCplugins.

it's just the way that logic works.remember,logic pc had just been discontinued when the last versions of pc came out.apple REALLY wanted logic users to switch over.....
