hello everyone.
strange thing happend in my computer lately
and some crashed happend , after those crashes the system doing a system check and say's: one of your disk need to check for
consistency .
after that check window restart and work fine until the next time it happend  .

few days ago i thought that if i update my bios maybe this problem will be solved so i insert the original disk that i got with my asus and try to install the asus update v3.41.03 software but instalasion failed and two messages came up :
1.asus biosinfo.dll
NT service registery error ! pleas reboot NT and try again ,i press OK and then another one came :
2. warning
setup program detect no asus motherboard
installatio will aborted now.
i try to restart and install again but the same messages come up again or the computer is frezed and i have to restart the computer from its onoff botton and then it does this disk check for consistancy like i metioned above.
i also download the updated version of the asus update from asus site but the same problem happened again and i couldnt install the damn software ,ORRRRG .

my specs is :
p4 2.4
asus p4pe_ge
512 ddr kingstone 333mhz
80gb maxtor fireball9 (8mb catch)
matrox g450 dual head
pulsar2
running XP

eny suggestions will be wolcome .

peace
Omb

hi
Try scandisk and disk defragmenter to find if your HD is ok. ....might help!

If all else fails you ought to format your hard drive and install everything again. I have found in the past that formatting often fixes drives that I thought were broken.
