This is by far the fastest project I've done but does it work. Is it "good enough for ya" (with some mixing and mastering
I used:
Cubase SX
STS-2000(for Soundfonts, drums, piano, harp)
Spectrasonics Trilogy (for Bass)
Spectrasonics Sylus (for some drums and percussion)
Boken ankle song (the equal, sequal , damage-report)
Hehehe I can't pay for lawyers, so I guess I'll always wear my cheap "on sale" expolsive vest at all times. (How did you break it? Did you all out of frustration kick as hard as could against the brick wall. Beacause the records you ordered at Soulwax in neue neue straat hadn't arrived yet?)On 2003-11-04 08:14, hubird wrote:

nice atmosphere and parts, just the sound is a bit metallic, you could apply some chorus, or top-off the highs of the reverbs.
I know, one day...
I'll try some Chorus on it:)
Are you signed avay to any lable at the time? I think i read something about Ninja Tune somewhere....
Why am I obsessed by this thing called music?
I agree with Huub - this has a nice atmosphere. Nice bass work especially.
The treble side of the piano comes over as much too sharp for this track (for my liking)
With the other softer instrumentation in the track I'd reduce the expression/velocity of the piano lead (think of it as a sexy female voice)and I think you'd have a much better overall feel.
The early organ chord riff might benefit from a couple of triplets too.
Nice track.

for several years now I'm doing some audio work for ('commercial') video productions rather than release stuff.
Yet I would like to get a release again, but I'm a bad promotor of my own music.
That's why I asked a friend of mine (who's a pro webdesigner) to make a site, to have an easy accessable platform with all recent stuff, including the video-audio work.
I'll inform you soon here on planetz

I really enjoyed this track. The only thing that bothered me about the mix was the tight reverb over the drums and percussion. If it was less rather than more it would be perfect.
The bass was brilliant and I really like the sexy tango feel of it.
Would benefit with some sultry female vocals, but stands up on its own a a musical piece.
