One of the major advantages of the SFP platform is the flexibility, like the custom routing. XTC has none of those routing possibilities. Maybe a crossbreed of the project view and XTC would be nice, with the classical routing options and the possibility to use SFP devices straight in the VST host.
That's what I'm kind of hoping for (xtc-wise). SFP4 was originally announced for 4th quarter of this year, so I guess all options are already choosen...

The thing is on my system that the modular will not sync correct, it wubbles like hell.
Iff i could use it in Cubase it would become rock solid. Of cource the flexability is a nice thing, but i don't need it all the time. when i want to do something wild i need it when i want to produce i don't need to..

whel first of all my system is a:
Pulsar 1 + pulsar 2 srb
Celeron 1200 ( I know
)
Tusl2-c
When I have a midi clock in a patch and i feed it with midi from cubase the tempo wumbles, Its not a stable sync, so for me its impossible to work with seguencer modules and the hyper gates etc. Maybe I've setup things up wrong, cos i've gotten back into the modular becource of the flexor stuff

This is not a modular problem, it's a clock problem, try to play Lightwave initial preset sync with any clock.
Also a it's Cubase MIDI Master problem, see the Cubase manual, which will tell you to use MTC instead -this is not implemented in SFP however.
Midi clock's Master/Slave relation is not very stable
So what's a solution?

- Read Thalamus post at this page and make sure you're not using emulated MIDI drivers.
- Load a MIDI Clock in each patch, and set it to the same tempo as your song in Cubase. Set the clock to internal, do not slave it.
- Retrigger Flexor ramps and LFO's with a MIDI note: use MVC gate.

John Bowen's Solaris or Red Dwarf are the only solutions that I know of. It'll be great if we can get modular (& the sts-5000) in XTC mode, I'd upgrade to III.

This should give you a much better timing.
