This is great! It reminds me of the early electronic music from the 50's and 60's: Music Concréte and Electronische Musik - great stuff.

It has a really nice mood too it! A cross between sneakey, curious and spookey.
Great sound and sounds. I like the subtle distortion.

I've listened to some of your more experimentel music before, and I must say that I really like that side of your composing - Please bring us more!

Could you maybe explain how you made this one - Modular perhaps?

Cheers!

Hello Petal,hello Hubird!
Yes,i'll try explain, how i made this one,but i want say before, that allways it's a different and everytime part of process is intuitive way.
At this example it was like this:
I was thought of this kind of music and choised synth.
My choise was Additive Synthesizer Version 1.dev
I was looking for presets and found 2 of them. One for basic instument "Bell" and other -"Bell Pluck" as fx with same timbre.
So it will help me make magic together
After that i was thought of character and form of this composition basicly and recorded this part without any sequencer just directly to "Sound Forge" for example.
So in this situatiion i don't think of time limitation, temp e.t.c and tack will sounds more vivid, more natural more "in breath".
After that i do,put this track to sequenser(Logic for example)
and hearing this track a lot to understand whole building, wich sounds do i need, what parts they must play
So,when i heared i realised, that i want change space character and part of tune near the end and i made "Izotope trash" on it.
For second instrument i choiced Michu's modular, called "Electrolux" ,one organish sound (with 2 parameters chages in real time possibility).
So,i recorded second instrument,Fx-bells parts.
As last sound (pad part at the end) i choiced mine modular "Landscape".
That all! but most fun was realtime composing in this case

Excellent, your song reminds me on many old Sci-Fi movies I saw. A strange world, with strange guys and huge futuristic buildings and mad robots.....

I love this kind of experimentel music and synthesizer work.

I am absolutly sure that you will enjoy this link, it is the biggest synthesizer history page I´ve found yet. Many nice pictures from the good old machines, when synthesizers starts to be science, also you can find some samples of that monsters along with funny stories.

Well, allthough it isn't far, I still think it's a bit too far (about one days travel in car), anyway I'm completely broke at the moment...

What festival is it? And when is it?

Cheers!

About the making of your track. Nice to see someone actually compose live. I guess I am a bit of a controlfreak, but I just find automation (and the control that follows) fascinating... to watch all the nobs moving according to my whishes.

Anyway I think I'll have to try your approuch one day.

I'm often left with mixed emotions or feelings about many of your tracks Maket. Often they're a bit too far out for my tastes.
I was drawn to this though by the mention of the additive synth and those bell patches.
I've been meaning to use it in a track myself for quite a while. Some of the patches sound so much like the bell that starts "Rubycon" by Tangerine Dream, that I wanted to do a similar intro.
Anyway, I like this track - it has a nice feel to it and I think you've achieved more than I would have done with the Additive Synth.
Nice feel to the track - thanks for uploading it.

seems Tangerine Dream become standard.
As for me i heared "TD" ~ 17 years ago and never back to that, i prefer "Throbbing Gristle" and "Hafler Trio" in this case
About bells -probably it's a different test i think, but for me i was tryed put them to other space, then other instruments and i found radical way:) When i mixed with aux reverb,i switched off direct sound on mixer for bells and result for me was more clear, then if i try put different verbs with different parameters on it

OT, but it's a small thingie:
Maket, has the name 'Maket' something to do with Russian space travelling history?
I always thought 'Maket' is wordgaming with 'make it', i.c. music, but I saw a documentary about mystification processes in Russion space history.
An astronaut had to disappear coz of obstinate behaviour, or alcoholisme, dunno exactly coz I looked with one eye to it...till I saw 'Maket' on a helmet or something...
Could you clearify this for us?

For the last millennium show-business changed in hyperbolic magical sight, due to merging Hollywood, MTV and theatre Kabuki. Human possibilities already came short for participation in this show, so stars show-business started to grow their own clones , so-called “Performer” (“Maket” ,the name of one of them ).

Forgot to reply to this . . . I thought it was excellent. I was particularly interested in the very resonant, mid-range sound you managed to conjure up . . . had real depth and interest to it, and complemented the other sounds well, tying them all together. I wish i had the mod . . .

Will.
