Hi
My PC is down at the mo (XP needs re-installing) but I would like to know how easy it is to get Cubase to play (eg) Prophet Plus, and to simultaneously record Prophet Plus' outputs onto an audio track within SX.
I am assuming this is easy to do (without the need to patch hardware outputs to hardware inputs for example), but am I worng and culd there be latency issues to consider etc??
Help appreciated as always.
Thanks.
Recording SFP audio into Cubase SX
hi
SFP: route "YourCard" midi source to sequenser dest.
Then, if you use STM1632 mixer con your synth to in IL1/IR1 and route mixer DL1/DR1 to asio dest1.
Now your synth is ready for recording both midi and audio in Cubase. And you hear it live thru your speakers. (Mix L/R)
Cubase:
midi track:
in - Creamware MIDI in/out
audio track:
IN 1 L & R (we used asio dest1 here)
To play midi track thru your synth
Cubase out: Creamware MIDI in/out.
And route sequencer Midi source to synth
When you play both recorded audio and midi, you can figure out your latency
