How XTC works...?

I' m trying to working in XTC mode in the last time (tired to swicht between 100's windows...). I have Pulsar II, Cubase SX, Wavelab and Soundforge, so
I have some stupid questions:
1) Should I set a configuration in SFP mode before(closing) running XTC mode? Or it's a "World apart"?
2) Does export file works or not in Cubase SX and XTC? I tried to mix too in a new track using the bus merge option, and... nothing is recorded!
3) How works midi remote control in XTC? I treid to assign some Eq (Pulsar) ctrl's but it seems impossible.
4) Shoul I run SPF mode everytime I need to listen waves or my final mix in Wavelab, Soundforge?
5) I have a Motu midi xpress connected too, and I can' t control the Direct' midi pulsar sinth from here. Why is only able the Pulsar midi port?
I know are stupid questions, but if anyone cold me a quick step guide...

ad 1) It`s not working the way you think. If you´d like to change something you have to change the xtc.pro
Better not to change anything until you are 100 % sure what you are doing.

ad 2) I dunno cubase, but I´d say bouncing xtc plug-ins is not possible. You have to rerecord everything.

ad 3) All mixing is done in the sequencer application.

4) no. Try to avoid xtc.

5) I dunno but midi xpress PC do only work using windows 95/98 if it´s the old ISA one.

Otherwise midiport should be selectable in the squencer´s setup (or if it is logic via win.ini)

Meanwhile I look at for some tips here in Planetz...
I have now an idea how it works!
About my Motu: it' s not an isa, but an midi interface connected to the parallel port and still works. I hope to can control an pulsar eq inserted on SX mixer with Doepfer Pocket Ctrl too...
