I have recently bought PowerDVD 5 and I want to hear Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. I connect Digital Wave Source to Scope S/PDIF Dest. Now I start PowerDVD but it freezes immediately when I start playing the DVD.
Does anyone experience the same problems? Does anyone know a solution?

Creamware don't support dolby 5.1 or THX.
You need to decode signals outside SFP.

Yes, you're right, and this is were PowerDVD is usefull... It's decoding those stream usualy using digital wave src to spdif dest.

I know that you shouldn't have any normal wave src while installing PowerDvD for it to activate this features

Creamware support told me to set the sample rate to 48 kHz.
Indeed I get sound now. But after a few seconds the sound stops and another few seconds later the sound starts again. This goes on and on.
I can't figure out the cause of this. Does someone know what might be the cause of this?

Creamware is helping me very well with the problem, but no solution has been reached until now.
Does anyone have the same problem with playing DVD's?
