I want to buy the alesis adat ai3. however i don't really know if this will fit my needs and if it's compatable with the pulsar II
my requirements are:
8 analog inputs for my synths
8 analog outputs for my main mixer panel.
i want the inputs routed through separate channels in my pulsar mixer.
Will the alesis work for the requirements i have?
Does somebody use the alesis ai3 together with a pulsar II?
ADAT question
Yes,
I tried this solution first and was extremely dissatisfied with the results. In fact, the AI3 doesn't have the ADAT Din connectors on it and only synchronizes to ADAT lightpipe clock. This is not the most reliable and professional clock that you can use.
My suggestion if you're on a shoestring budget is to spend $100 more and get an ADAT itself (they're used on ebay for $400 all the time with very low hours) which does have the ADAT Din connectors, will give you 8 ins and outs and now a means to import and export via the most common tape standard on the market.
Good luck.
