A pre release of one of my complete tracks so pump up the volume...about 8 minutes, but some surprises a long the way...

The name refers to the term 'dawn' in Arabic, few minutes before sunrise.

Standard SFP devices, Timeworks plugins pack. Synths played live: Avelon, midi controlled (Wavelength, hugh thanks!!) and VirusB.

Just hate what the 128kbps compression did to this track (8meg upload limit)...oh well...but your opinions are much more important to me, so just hit me as hard as you can

Thanks in advance,
MZ

awesome break. I like the raw, feel of the drums not being "overprocessed".

There were some points in the tune, where the snare roll sample seemed to end too early, or seemed to just "cut off" on the first count of the nest measure. Some sort of impact sound on the first count could help. Or maybe you could reverb the snare roll sample so that the cutting off isn't so obrupt. Perhaps it's just a matter of taste though. It's fine as it is.

The place where the squeeky leads come in is nice. Mystical, and imperative of something going to happen. Great groove too.

Just for fun, I sort of "jammed" with your piece and added some pads. check it out:

hope you like it.

Now that put a smile on my face  I wasn't expeting this to happen, but when I think of it....Just to let u know, I listen to your staff before listening to your addition, to understand your background; great funk staff, and yes you should do live tracks as someone mentioned....

All your remarks are great if you are taking this to other arenas, so you probably understand this was all deliberately done considering my background.

20 years playing live Blues, Rock, Fusion, Funk mostly Jazz (guitar) led me to a place where things got abstracted in my music so lately I stripped all the melodic informa'shon'. Yes. the roll misses a bit, but when it sits, it bores me  and the one chord thing is about causing my listener not to really listen to the music details, but more accept it an ambient D&B track, like a picture...

Havind said that, once you created it, it reaches many people with many tastes, so this can serve as a great re-mix once I will release my album

I still have that smile on my face!

MZ

BTW, drums are processed man, overdrive, EQ, but sounds dry and close. I am a total drum frick so you see...you can check out the Summon tune on this forum for my 'over-processed' drums :|

ah, now I understand the esthetic behind the tune. I was wondering about the one chord thing.

Well yehh...uknow...music was not meant to be explained through words...and if I ended up describing it...

so don't hold back on me next time! your reply made me think that maybe another pick can be achieved in this song, by using harmony as a relief, as that virus lead does...something to think about...

Thanks man!
