Hi,

Contratulations on the song.

First of all, I have to say this is not really my style, but that maybe ables me to be more objective on the mix.

The mixing Sounds REALLY great on my system (Yamaha NS-10, JBL 4412), wide open treble, and a controlled bass. The stereo spread is also spot on. If you came to this results, only using the stock fx in SFP, you must be very talented.

If I should comment anything, but thats maybe part of the style, I feel the leadvocal is rather low in volume, and sometimes drowns in the background. But the sound of it is great. I would choose to dub it special places, and maybe put some background choir in the refrain. Too, I would maybe compress it a little more (with your absolute best compressor) to get it more in front of the other instruments. A another trick could be too set up a sidechain compressor, to duck guitars, strings and other elements a tiny bit, everytime the vocals kick in. If set up clever, the whole sound field would focus more on the vocals, without sounding artificial.

I also think you should have this proffesional mastered, to get it loud and even more perfect. You wont regret it.

Anyway, is it just me, but does the vocal sound much like galahan of Depeche Mode at times.

Hope I was to any help.
Yours truely

Noah Laux

Hi Thalamus

Thanks a lot about your comments. What you said regarding the vocals, that was just what i wanted to hear. As this is my 3rd mixdown of this song just to make singer better heard. It is my bad habit to mix vocals a bit low, but trying to change that.
I didnt use too heavy compression for them, so there is still some ways to improve it. Vocals were recorded with Röde NTK tube mic and MindPrint Envoice pre amp. So tubes everywhere
