Dear Scope Community

I played around with the different versions of the miniscope yesterday (mkI, mkII, wavelength edition) and found out that the mixer section does not properly work: you can switch on/off individual oscillatos but the volume pot for each oscillator does not work.
Also the rotary knobs to select the pitch for each oscillator have a strange behaviour. The graphical interface seems to be out of sync with what the software is doing.

I didn't see anyone else complain about this around here so i probably made a mistake somehow?
Other old synths (like the blue synth) work great for me.

Have you seen such behaviour?

system:
Pulsar I + Luna II, SFP3.1c, P4/2.4Ghz

thanks in advance for any hints

Using the default patches for each, the mixer knobs all work fine and the pitch knobs for each waveform as well. This is a 3.1c install straight from CD (Pulsar1, Pulsar2, dual Xeon Xp Pro etc).

Thanks a lot for checking Valis!

It seems there's something wrong with my installation. Scope was installed by the Person who sold me the PC. Maybe not such a good idea.. Also some other things are strange: Vectron Player makes the software crash everytime i load it and there were no manuals installed which should happen automatically as far as i know.

I think I'll do a reinstall of the whole scope software..

peace & love

The manuals have never installed for me, but it's no big deal to put them in.
As for vectron, I had that problem too for a while but a clean install of SFP fixed it, after installing my sequencer prog (SX).

ok.. i reinstalled 3.1c. this solved the issue about the oscillator volume pots in the mixing section of miniscope. the strange behaviour of the pitch rotary knobs (and other controls) only appears if the system preferences are set to the "vertical" mouse movement option for rotary controls. it seems the miniscope was only debugged in the "round1" setting which is the default.

thanks again for your comments! this forum is one of the best "features" of the scope platform.. (and it's neither paid, developped nor advertised by creamware )

About 2 years ago creamware had major problems with the updates swamping their servers, the manuals became a separate download as a result. Also during times of new releases for SFP planetz usually has the best mirroring...check here & keep cw's servers crawlin for the rest of them.
