Interesting, but no shots of the video !

Brainwave video boosts musical performance...
This makes an awful lot of sense . . . and actually works too !
In fact, they have been experimenting with this sort of thing since the early seventies. In those days, they used blood-pressure monitors, and offered people some money if they could get their pressure down below a certain rate !
Obviously brain-waves are better, because they more closely correlate with psychological states.
I'm just waiting for when you can buy these from your local shop . . .

bassdude - yeah its very much your instant feedback, 21st century meditation. It just gives you a graphic illustration of what your brain is up to, so that you can correlate that with what you see 'from the inside' . . . it just makes it much more obvious to you what 'works' in terms of calming you down etc.
Last thing I saw of the actual 'game' was that the 'aim' was to move a blob in one direction, and that proportionately more slower brain-frequencies had this effect while more fast frequencies had the opposite effect. Slow frequencies are correlated with relaxation and in the limiting case deep sleep, while faster frequencies are correlated with more intense levels of thought . . . to stress, anxiety, and the limiting case of (e.g.) manic depression.
I think this music-enhancing programme must be a lot more subtle, but I imagine that at heart it is really just getting people meditative (for the creative bit) and stress free (for the performing bit)
BTW the program's main medical use is apparently for allowing people suffering from 'locked-in syndrome' to communicate. They manipulate their brain-frequencies to choose different letters on a screen, to spell out words, to say 'I'm still alive honest !'
That's a pretty dramatic life-enhancing tool if you can't even blink.

I once tryed one of those mind machines, and was crazy! Some sort of electricity came to the whole of my body and coudn´t stop laughing, it was so electrifying that I thoughyt it was not for me.
I think that, indeed, Meditation has much powerful ways than electronics to search for deep states of mind. Of course, for music it´s another thing... it´s different.
I don´t know the name, but I know of a German clasical pianist that uses brain-waves plust some special lihgt-desfragmentation method, so every one of the keys of his piano transmits a colour and the vibracions of all the colours mix toguether in a huge screen while he plays, and people goes into a very deep state of natural concentration. I´d would love to see such a beautiful mix of sounds and colours, this must be great.
