It's been composed for a single harp and I've entered every note with my mouse, beginning with the right hand and then composing the left hand part afterwards.

Programming a this with mouse is what i call hard work!

Does a real harpist would be able to play this? In this way? Curious...

A few days work just to set down the notes and another day to play with dynamics and tempi, but truly it seemed like an instant, I was really absorbed, I just woke up and composed all day... Yes, a harpist could play it, I'm fairly sure about it. There's a classical harpist in my town and I'll visit her soon to ask her to interpret it and collaborate with me...
Ah... the harp... it's my favourite along with human voice.
I really love that piece, each time I listen to it it seems new...

A lovely piece. I like this sort of music, it brings a little calm into the world. I'd like to hear it with a voice too.

totally beautiful and wonderfully "moused".
A pleasure to have a piece like this uploaded.
If as you say the harp is a favouite instrument, you might like to check out an album called Rosa Mystica by Theresa Schroeder-Sheker. And she has the most beautiful voice to go with it.

some sections of the tune made me search for more polyphony. Especially the 2 voiced parts. Maybe this is traditional for harp, I'm not sure. For these 2 voiced parts, you might want to re-check for voice efficiency, cuz some portions of it sounded as if it was missing some tones. Perhaps it would sound ok as it is on a real harp because of its richer harmonics.

The tune is magnificent! I'd like to hear the live recorded version! Keep us in touch!

Neil- thanks for the positive feed-back! I'll be trying to find this record for sure!

Ken- On a real harp the sound will be fuller, but this 2 voices feeling was really what I was after, just a 2 parts counterpoint, open and simple. If I'd fill it with more voices I'd loose the contrasting effect with the other parts as well as the ceremonial impression...

Of course, if I record it with a real harpist I'll post it here! I'll be so thrilled!

This is the very fist song leastend through my new system, and it did the job... it baptised my system with a really inspired piece of music.

I really did like the music as a whole, the harmony is well produced and the modulations are more than pleasant.

The only thing I would like for it is a real performance, in a Pub at Quebec, served with some good white wine, candles and an some fire to kill the cold wether... perhaps some Santal incense, but not too much... to make it the "perfect night".
