Hi
What is the difference in Pulsar 1 vs
Pulsar 2?
Is it only supplied software packages, or is HW difference?
How many physical audio outputs each of them offer in package?
Thanks
Difference Pulsar 1 vs Pulsar 2
Main hardware differences:
- Pulsar1 has 4 dsp & Pulsar2 has 6,
- @ 44.1kHz, Pulsar1 can go down to 13ms, Pulsar2 (or other 2nd generation cards) can go down to 3ms latency on audio drivers,
- Pulsar1 comes with onboard I/O connector, Pulsar2 uses daughterboard so the I/O's can be changed later or moved over to Scope SRB as I did.
Software:
As from the release of SFP, Pulsar2 boards come out the shop with Mixers2 & Synths2 pack, Pulsar1 has it if the user registered Pro-pack in time. If you want to buy a second hand card, it may be interesting to ask for registrations that come with it.
Both Pulsar1 & 2 run under the same OS and can be combined with each other in a single pc.
More documentation on second generation CW cards is available here.
