Is my card faulty.... it sounds like the bit rate is low.

I have a pulsar 2 running in XTC with logic platinum under windows 2000 pro, not the best of configs but works fine usually!

When working on some mixes today I tried some new plug-ins and Logic crashed... now when I load all my mixes into logic, for some reason it sounds mushy and if I hadnt checked already would have though the bit rate was realy low... or it had undergone some bad mp3 file compression.

Can enyone help? checked bit rates, sample rates, monitoring system, even reinstalled SFP and Logic and given the pulsar card "a bit wiggle" Asio and wav sources both sound bad, checked the word clock to my VC8`s and they seem fine...

Tring to finish an album and its driving me mental....

Thanks in advance for any advice....

Bummer
I hope this wasn't caused by having the speakers on, while turnign on and off SFP.
