with a new GUI ...more fast then 3.1 ???

with any good preset ....

with some new sinth....like....novation ??

Nope, no news, but what's wrong with the 100's, if not 1000's of presets already included with SFP? And check out the Prisma synth, I think it comes pretty close to a novation synth.

i would also enjoy faster GUI, but i will not hold my breath on it...

if you really don't like sound and presets available on SFP, and prefer those of Novation,
i can only advise you getting rid of Pulsar and buying Novation

I find that certain devices have problem and others do not when it comes to the speed of the GUI. Issues rarely show up when using SFP on one computer (running at 2.4ghz with 1gb RAM and 64mb video memory).

However, it is very nice to be able to control my SFP computer with my laptop via Remote Desktop. This is where the problems become very apparent. (And I imagine that it is the case with a slower machine as well.)

Most devices are still fine running through Remote Desktop. However, some will not redraw or are very slow, such as Vectron and Ligtwave. These devices only show up when moved on the screen, which is very frustrating.

No other program on my computer has this issue - only SFP. Therefore, there must be some kind of inefficiency issue with the SFP GUI that needs to be addressed.

I would like to see this fixed in the next version.

Regarding your remote desktop redraw speesds, I have tried a handful of remote software clients, and find NetOP to be the fastest. In fact real-time is how I would describe it's redraw speeds.

I also had redraw problems with the Vinco plugin as you described using:

MS XP Remote Desktop
VNC Viewer
MS Terminal Services

But NetOP worked a treat, no probs.

i've a NOVA II .....

The sound of this sinth is great......

there is in pulsar any sinth like nova II ?

or like Access Virus ?

the NOVA and the Virus have a very nice interface, immediate access via a lot of knobs. That's what makes them great, no doubt.
But I really wonder if the synth engines (the sound generation itself) can even come close to what the Sharcs do.
Afaik the Virus oversamples the filter to keep it smooth - an approach similiar to Minimax or Interpole, so technically on par.
Recently I installed a Motorola based synth on a single DSP (same power as the Micro Modular). Well, it did 8 parts with 2-3 voices each, but WHAT voices

I wouldn't call it exactly bad, there was some character on its own, but it was certainly NOT a quality sound generation like the Sharc's with a rich full sound over the complete spectrum.
Shutoff the FX units of your 2 synths and see what's left. That's what you can compare - or otherwise you'd have to include the complete SFP fx collection

The stuff by Zarg and Wavelenght, the Minmax / Interpole, CW's Modular with Flexor, Vectron, Prisma and Lightwave... what exactly do you miss

I don't know how anyone can say synths like the Access Virus or Nova sound better than anything available for SFP. I had an Access Virus and Nova - and I agree they have nice interfaces and overall are nice synths - However, once I heard and played around with Minimax (not to mention some of the other great SFP synths), I sold my Virus and Nova, as well as some other hardware synths taking up space in my studio.

With my SFP system, now I do not need a bunch of hardware interfaces filling up my studio. I can have one box with a a bunch of great synths built in (i.e., my SFP computer), together with just one good hardware controller setup: A Roland A-70 keyboard (great feeling board) plus an IBK 10Control (great programable knob controller with LCD feedback and endless dials for no jumps). That is all I need.

Although, adding a Noah for extra DSP and the devices it comes with would be nice - and the Nord Modular G2 looks very nice as well (for some extra fun - and it also looks like it could be used as a great controller for the SFP synths by programming a controller patch and using the rotary knobs and LCDs for tweaking and feedback from the SFP devices)

I own an Access Virus C, and to be honest, I have SFP synths that sounds just as good (some probably even better)..

I'm considering getting a Noah, to unload some DSP from my Pulsar system, but that only when I can afford it, and Noah integrates it's os with the SFP..

huffcw (and others), imho the problem with pulsar/scope synths is within their presets. For many newcomers and "preset-guys" - including me :| - the quality and interestingness of preset sounds is vital.
If I take any Novation or Access synth and just have a look at the preset sounds, there are many that I could go and use live immediately.
How about SFP synths? I have Scope/SP and thus a great many of CW synths, the situation is not the same. So far, most of the presets I've explored cause me feelings like "what's this?" "how on earth to use this", "this is crap" or "I don't need this".
Away are the feelings "incredible", "wow, I NEED THIS" I had a few years ago when I tried Supernova (but I didn't have the money to buy it then

)
Now I know only one SFP sound, that let me fall from the chair : arpegged saw of Vectron

Edit: Whoah, I just found Mysteria from Modular II. It's superb

If only I had a slightest idea, how to use Modular and make those patches...

The MiniMax presets are not too bad IMO - but I guess it depends on what you are looking for. I found most of the presets very expressive and on par with other hardware synths I have tried. There is also some things in there that are kind of strange - but very cool after you mess around with them for a while and discover how they can be worked with (again, it all depends on what you are looking for).

IMO, most presets in almost all hardware synths I have tried need to be tweaked a bit to get them sounding good. Many times the presets are watered down to appeal to as wide of audience as possible. It is only with some tweaking that you can discover all the possibilities.

The thing that is nice about the Access Virus is that there are new presets available on the Access web site for download periodically. Many of the additional presets are absolutely excellent compared to the factory presets. It would be nice to have more presets made available for the SFP synths from time to time to really show off what they can do (and to expand the variety of sounds).

Yeah, more presets would be cool. Just so to know what is possible

I haven't tried Minimax yet... only the NOAH version for a short time in a store with crappy headphones.

Have a listen to first preset multi program of a Korg karma and huh, it sounds cool

And many other presets of Karma sounded great.
So far, I've preferred Rolands hw synths.
