Currently I´m not able to use it. Normally when I connect the ADAT Pipes and switch the A8 to optical it will search the sync...but it doesn't get any in position optical...I`m thankfull for any further input (I checked the cables already, light pipes are working just fine).
maybe going into the samplerate settings dialog in SFP, and changing the samplerate might do the trick, or switching master/slave. when in there, check the sync source as well...
but you probably have done this already
yep. I tried this alreeady...except the sync source...I don`t have a sync port in the old A 8 ...normaly you just switch it to optical and when the clocck has been found the LED for optical lights but it`s still switching (flashing) between 44 and 48 khz.
well, i thought 'sync' was going through the lightpipe, so setting sync source to 'adat x (a or b)' is essential, but being a (phoney
i do have the a8 as well, and never had this kind of problems with it... i had to take out the fan and stick it to the side (out of the box) because it was making a terrible noise from time to time.
have you checked if the 'red lights' come through at the other side of the lightpipe? but you said your cables are ok, so i guess this will be another useless tip.
Thanks for your suggestion...oh man, I was really too m.f. stupid I really managed to misunderstand my cable sald and it pointed out that I cabled the pulsar adat to Pulsar adat and the A8 adat to the a8 adat...oh man - did somebody say voltax??? Yep, you´re right.
