As I said not so long ago in this forum, have lust for live, but at the moment its a bit difficult for me, The end of last year a got a lot shit over me.Trying to be possitive, because I have this great studio at home. But there the problem starts....since this f*ck-ups happend to me I can't seem to get this system stable again,I have not changed anything in my set-up but my computer does'nt seem to agree.
What I tryed is changing all ADAT cables- even the S/TDM cables, but I'm keep on getting strang messages like "unexpected dsp overload" "no conection between pulsar2(0) check S/TDM cable and then I'm losing word clock (see the turning scope icon).the most frustrating thing is that sometimes it works ok for a hole day and then suddenly the next day , same shit again.
yes I reinstalled everyting,
unlike a lot of you outthere I'm a total nitwit on computers, I just wanna make music.
again when its running ok, I think SFP is one of the nicest things around ....but now I'm starting to get in a depression .
I spend a lot off money on CW (51 Activation Keys)thats a real nice bike!(an other hobby of mine)
regards to all you happy people out there

Perhaps you should check if all you cards are fitteng correctly in there slots. Perhaps try to take them out and put them in again, incase of corrosion on the connections which happens because of the oxygyn in the air and such. The same thing goes for the cable between multiple CW-cards.
Well at least it's worth a try.

I´ve got a similar miracle in the past.
My Pulsar I works without any problems on 44.1 kHz and not in 48 or 96 kHz. At those higher resolutions the Pulsar didn´t got a sync, it reloads the project any three seconds or so (the rotating icon). Sometimes it works for several minutes or hours.
Then I exchanged my power supply with a more powerfull one and everything works perfect.
Maybe this can help?

an open case I all ready have.
the problem with taking out the cards and cleaning them is: all connections 10x adat cable's 3x that other connection, and as you can gues, all behind and far to reach. its gonna take me an other day! and that in the state I am.
thanks anyway for your support.

Be strong virtualstudio.
Sometimes life is not fair, a good friend of mine had to wait over three month until his system runs perfect.
Try to borrow a new stronger Power Supply and test it, maybe you don´t need to clean all connections, I never done it and I have my cards over two years now.
Best wishes.

Can I just put that in place of the old one or do I have to make changes? On 2003-06-03 03:10, ChrisWerner wrote:

It seems Marcuspocus was right(again!)! After cleaning everything and put two new fans everything is working o.k. for about three days now. I did't change the power supply yet but wil do that soon, to be on the safe side and make the system as stable as posible.
thanks again everybody,I really would no know where I was without you guy's,(probably sold these things and riding around on my new bike)

I haven't read all the replies here, but I recently had similar error-messages after installing an additional Pulsar2.On 2003-06-02 07:51, virtualstudio wrote:

What solved the problem was mooving my Pulsar2 to the 1st PCI slot (if your 1st pci slot is sharing an IRQ with some other device than a creamware card, moove it to the next slot).
The only thing to remember is that Pulsar2 likes to be the 1st in a chain of creamware cards, someone suggested it was a timing issue for me and that I should moove the Pulsar2 to be the 1st creamware card, and it worked.
I see your problem was solved also, but others might still be interested in what solved it for me
