If you are using Norton SystemWorks, which is your experience?
Does it work fine?
Is it compatible with DAW systems?
Anybody using Norton SystemWorks?

I use it. One thing bugs the heck out of me. For some reason Systemworks 2003 will NOT install on my work computer because it is not linked to the internet. I was told to install Internet Explorer because the installation need some of its components to install. That turned out to be a dud since I couldn't install it anyways. No problem on my internet computer though. My work machine has Systemworks 2002 installed and it runs smooth as silk. But I can't say there is a real difference with or without Systemworks.
That wasn't much help, eh?

In six years of use I have had a total of 5 real tough moments, where I though I would need to reinstall everything… Something similar to what happened to you Paul, with the little fractal program. Well… I want to be ready for those moments…
I have heard of the existence of programs able to restore the system as it was before a given moment. All you have to do is to back up in a CD, the perfect moment when everything was right. Then if you have a problem, you can come back.
I don’t really mind about other Symantec’s utilities included in their SystemWorks, but I don’t know of any other which will substitute it. I’m talking about GoBack 3 Personal Edition by Roxio, and Norton Ghost. Many people in the forum have said wonders about them.
What do you use so, if not Norton for “system image restoration”?

Powerquest Drive Image Pro does the same thing as Norton Ghost (I've never heard of or used the roxio thing), and it also works in Windows 2000/XP (Ghost could be launched from Windows 9x but not 2000/XP as far as I know, unless they changed it in a very recent version).. although I can't honestly remember if it works in DOS as well.
