xtc mode considerations

I have never really used the xtc part of pulsar, but because i am starting to use a standard setup for most of my music, and dont use the routing options that much i think its time for me to start now.
How mature is the xtc mode? Can i make my own default projects where i use vinco somewhere in the signal path.
How much delay is there, and do i have to compensate for it(using xp and cubase sx).

This will probably function normally in 2010 somewhere I guess. Nobody put a knife to Creamware's throat to release xtc mode, right?

If it's not properly functioning, why the hell do thet release it? CW keeps me wondering time after time...

i've used xtc mode with logic and it's worked pretty well for mixing.......
