Hi everyone,
I've recently switched from Cubase 5.1 to Samplitude and I still have problems recording audio. I get many clicks and pops when recording an audio track and error messages about lost ASIO buffers.
The problem becomes /extreme/ when I use a low latency setting in ULLI, so I sadly have to use the highest latency value. But still there's a click at least once every 5 seconds.
I'm using a 1.4GHz Athlon, 512MB Ram, ASUS A7V and Luna 2 with Samplitude 7.
I'd appreciate ANY comments!!
Thanks in advance!

1st- Trow the A7V by the windows or better burn it and watch...

It is the worst motherboard ever produced for music...

All will work with a good mobo...

Yep, I guess you're right. The A7V seemed like the best one at the time I got it, but now there's lots of much better ones to choose from. Which one would you suggest, esp. if Gigastudio is running on the same machine?
Thanks a lot for your help!!

Before you burn you motherboard, you could try to install this patch:

http://www.tecchannel.de/hardware/817/8.html

I went from being able to have 4 MasterVerbs running to being able to run 11. Maybe it can help you too, until you get the chance to upgrade your computer.

I am looking for an upgrade myself, but am waiting to see what those new proccessors coming this summer will bring of excitingly low priceses and such  But I'm deffinitely going for an Intel Chipset, and an Intel CPU and will be looking at ASUS-Mobo's...

Cheers!
Thomas
