Hi there. I have come across this error today - irql_not_less_or_equal. However, the computer has been running fine for about 6 months since i got my pulsar 2. I admit that on checking the settings, things are sharing irq9 (i have read various threads regarding the standard pc setup and irq sharing) but why would this suddenly start happening? I have not installed anything new!

ahy thoughts?

this happened to me and continued to happen to me until i reinstalled in standard pc mode.

even with a board that supports apic.

if it continues, you may want to seriously consider that option.

I had the same problem also. Just recently. Same thing, a bunch of things were sharing IRQ 9. So I just went into bios and reserved a different irq for pulsar. works fine now.

Ok. Thanks. Will try and reserve an irq in the bios. I am not surprised that it isn't working. Merely suprised it worked for so long! And i have a feeling i am going to have to reinstall this in the standard mode anyway!

you don't have to reinstall unless you really want to: just go to the device manager and select computeracpi... right click on this and select properties, there you'll see a driver tab where you can manage to replace with the standard pc.

I´ve done it in the same way.

But after this is done, you have to check again the irq´s and set your dsp- card on its own irq.
