clicks and slow loading in my new computer?

hello dear pulsaryan .
i bought my new computer few day's ago with:
asus p4pe
p4 2.4 533mhz
512 ddr 333mhz
westerndigital 80 giga 8mb catch
matrox g450 dual display agp card
pulsar2 audio card

my OS is XP servise pack1 with SX 1.02,
i noticed that the system is preaty lasy when i'm working with sx and cubase is crackle all the time and is very slow acording to this new system after my p3 700mhz and win 98.
i disable everything i dont need onoboard like com usb onboard soundcard etc.
i configurate my system with standar pc ,there is no irq sharing in my system and
i twik every thing that can use my cpu or can slow my system and sx stil f***ink slow and stuck for a moment when i'm playing and
try to load some effect or instrument .

whay whay whay :smile:
eny advice would appritiate.

Watch for your DMA modus (your drives,cd-rom)

Doesn't sound right! Have you installed the latest ASPI drivers, intel application accelorator, graphics drivers? Are you using ultra DMA?
All these can make a huge difference, plus defrag nearly everyday. Matrox can cause some problems. Also the latest version of SX is a bit dodgy, try a roll back.
When I first upgraded to XP, SX everything needed to settle in a bit. But try reinstalling SX with virus protection off, and reinstalling your graphics software and drivers.
