can you insert in the song-file you upload also your name??
something like:

bosone-track01.mp3

(i admit i almost never did such a thing, but i'll begin!)

i often download some music but then i cannot remember who composed/posted it... and i don't know who am i listening!!
this is not good! even because most of the time the mp3 have no id3 to tell author, title, years, etc! (you can fill those field!!)

this has got my vote, too.

with almost 200 tracks in the Z folder, you need some system. so when i download some music, i immediately change the file name of the mp3, adding the author.

but me, i'm lazy too 'once in a while', and sometimes it can be troublesome trying to find out what post/artist the track belongs to. old thalamus and hubird tracks used to be real pains in the ass

let there be music... but which track is it?

If the name of the artist isn't there, you can always "Save as" and type it in.

Example:
Downloading demonix.mp3, save as kensuguro - demonix.mp3

support!
I will better my life

I must say everytime when I upload a song I see the bloody workaround names, and I think, oh well the only who ever will see it is John's server computer, to hell with naming.

Punished!!

But at least not on this subject anymore

Me too, I want to know who is who, it’s nice to see the evolution of anyone working, mixing, composing, etc., good idea.

How do you do it? You mean, just adding to the title your name, just that? Or you’re talking about a way to editing the MP3s through an special program? If this is the case, which is the program doing it?

i think the best way is just adding the composer name before the song name, so that on my HD the file is already saved in a way which is recognisable!
