Routing Midi through a LAN connection

Does anyone know if there is a way to route midi from one computer to another through a LAN connection?

For example, if I have a midi controller setup on my laptop and my laptop is connected to my main PC via a LAN connection, is there a way to route the input of my midi controller going into the laptop through the LAN connection to my main PC?
