Hi all

I have found a cheap used XTC-card which I am properbly going to buy. But before I buy it, I have a few question. The seller originally bought a Luna II and an XTC-card a little more than a year ago, and he couldn't make them work together, something about the Luna II and XTC was not compatible and this was a known fact by Creamware, which they had a small note about on there website.
Now, every information I can find, tells me that at least since SFP 3.1c, the Luna and the XTC should be able to work fine together - right?
Which brings me to my next question, my Elektra is using SFP 3.1c, the XTC-card is from before the release of the SF-platform, and has not been upgraded. Do I have to buy a software upgrade for the XTC-card, in order to take full advantage of my new setup?

I hope that someone is able to give me a quick answer to these questions, cause the deal is going to happen in just a few hours...... Man I'm so excited

Cheers!
Thomas

Well - Now I have the card, and it is working together with my Elektra, but the guy who I bought it from can't get the codes from Creamware homepage!?
The problem is that the site know his username by crossreference to the harwarecode, but he can't use the "forgot your password"-function for some reason all though it is asking for the hardware-sn. Very strange!?

I hope that Creamware feel like answering calls and emails tomorrow.....

With hardware codes I have had lots of trouble too, but after a huge amount of emails all is ok. Maybe you'll have to bomb CW with emails.
But why do you need the hardware number of XTC? If you use it together with Elektra, the XTC is nothing else than an enlargement of 6 DSP to 9. I think you need only a hardware number if you use the XTC in XTC mode. But with this I have no experiences.

Well I need the codes, cause the XTC-card comes with an almost identical software package as the one that comes with the PulsarII, and I want access to that software

OK, I forgot that the LUNA-software is not as extensive as Pulsar. I bought my cards in an other succession: first Pulsar1 (with all updates), then Luna2 as a DSP extension; so - properly speaking - I never needed the HW number of Luna.
Of course you need the HW number of your XTC. I don't know another way as emailing CW again and again.

Well, the seller called Creamware, so now I have the hardware code and all the activationkeys on my Creamwareaccount. The strange thing is, I can't access/download the software (Effect package 1 and 2, Synth package 1 and 2) from anywhere - It is very strange indeed!?

Cheers!

afaik they are in the regular installation of SFP. Maybe the installer reacts according to the hardware it finds and did hide the packages on your Luna only installation.
Congrats to the additional DSPs btw

cheers, Tom

Thanks a lot Tom

Yes, I found them in the SFP 3.1a package. And is now trying to make everything work in XTC-mode as well.

Ahh - 9 DSP's! Finally enough DSP-power to fool around with. Now I just need to find the time........

Cheers!
