I am a new comer to Pulsar(and Music Pro in gereral) and would be grateful if someone could give me some advice. I am Running an 1.5 PC with a pulsar soundcard. My main problem is that I am not getting any sounds from my Access Virus synth into Cubase 5.1.
I have routed my midi keyboard out to the virus input and from the virus output to a the input of a 4x4 midiman. In order to record sound from my synth do I have to take the output of the midiman to input of the pulsar and then back out of the pulsar back into an input of the midiman????????
***I am sorry if this is a simple question but it is confusing the **** out of me.***
P.S.
I can get sounds when playing the synth live, this also shows up in the transport bar as the green light lights up when I strike a key but when I draw the data in the piano roll and play back I get nothing.
PLEASE HELP
Pulsar Virus Synth
ciao, i think you are a bit confused...
you must send your midi keyboard to the pulsar midi in and the pulsar midi out to your synth.
then, if you run cubase, you must connect, in your pulsar environment (routing window) the pulsar midi source (representing the signal coming from the midi keyboard) to the sequencer destination, and the sequencer source to the pulsar midi destination (representing card's midi out that goes to the synth).
then check you have midi through option enabled in cubase.
this way you use your midi keyboard to go to cubase, and from there the midi signals come out to the synths, virtual, pulsar or real...depends on what outputs are selected for the midi tracks in cubase.
don't be afraid of the appearent complexity, do as i said step by step, and you will be ok.
