I know I´ve solved this conundrum before but short of reinstalling sx again I can´t remember the trick. Perhaps you can help.
to recap I had some problem with a tv video capture card which seems to have been related to a faulty instalation and the message >can´t find DSP file Mixer package 1 please check installation. Well with a clean installation I seem to have solved that one. My current problem is midi configuration now when I assign vector for instance to midi channel 1 and EDS8i to midi channel 2. In SX in midi 1 I hear and record vector and in midi 2 and in all other midi channels and audio channels also. I can not hear or record EDS8i in channel 2 in SX unless I assign it to omni. Why is channel 1 taking priority over all the other midi channels?
Am I overlooking something obvious and straightfoward or is reinstallation of SX the solution?
